President’s Message

MESSAGE FROM AARON GOLDMAN: PRESIDENT OF THE BHC

As we prepare to observe the High Holy Days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, I would like to offer my warmest wishes for a happy, heathy and prosperous new year.

2021 has seen the corona virus cause more disruption. Again, as a community, we have banded together and made the best out of a bad situation.

When unable to see each other face to face, we have kept touch via zoom. We have embraced the moments where we have been able to spend time with friends, family and community – but most importantly, we have kept safe.

Rosh Hashanah offers a message of hope and opportunity, reminding us that we are called to action to improve ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us. Rosh Hashanah is a time of new beginnings. It celebrates the creation of the world and of all humanity. It is a time of deep self-reflection and humility, when Jews everywhere, examine their actions of the past year in an effort to strengthen and renew their connection to the Almighty and to each other.

The Brisbane Hebrew Congregation is here to help each and every one of you make the personal journey necessary for a better year. I’d like to thank each and every one of you for your support.

If there is anything I can do to make your experience at shul a better one, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Shabbat Shalom and Shanah Tovah!

Aaron Goldman
President BHC
